What to expect

At Spine Kansas City, we want you to feel comfortable and informed when you arrive for your appointment. To help streamline the process, we offer the option to complete your paperwork ahead of time. We accept most insurance plans, and if you have any questions about coverage, we're happy to help.

During your first visit, Dr. Hugunin will conduct a brief exam to determine how best to help you. If he feels that Chiropractic care is not the right fit for you, he'll provide a referral to a trusted provider and happily refund any fees paid. If he proceeds with treatment, he'll deliver a hands-on Chiropractic adjustment to all regions of your spine and extremities. Dr. Hugunin believes that movement is essential, so he'll also manipulate your shoulders, elbows, wrists, fingers, hips, knees, ankles, and toes, as long as it's appropriate.

 

Dr. Hugunin prefers to adjust primarily with his hands but may use a mechanical device when necessary. He is also proficient in soft tissue management and has been an Active Release Techniques Provider since 2001. With over 17 years of experience, he is knowledgeable about muscle, ligament, tendon, and nerve disorders that may impact the effectiveness of Chiropractic. He'll address any issues he finds, and provide you with stretches, home exercises, recommendations for orthotics if needed, and nutritional coaching to help you maintain good health. We understand that your time is valuable, so we'll work efficiently to ensure that you're in and out of our office without unnecessary delays.
